FAQ

Why did you make NozzleDB?
When I was first getting into IEMs, I quickly found that I had small ear canals and couldn't fit many popular models. When I searched online for nozzle measurement, it was hit-or-miss whether someone had measured them and posted it online.
I really needed something like NozzleDB, so I made it! I hope you find it useful as well.
Bore? Lip? What do these terms mean?
Great question! It can be confusing.
The bore of an IEM is the width of the nozzle it's narrowest point. It generally has a low impact on comfort, but it is handy to know for some folks.
The lip is the ledge that holds the silicone eartip in place and is the widest point of the nozzle. This is usually what aggravates smaller ear canals and is typically high impact for comfort!
Length is also high impact for comfort, but that one is self-explanitory. ☺️
Who did the art for the website?
I'm glad you like it! The art was commissioned for this website from the wonderfully talented Kokomi. Please check out their work! 💜
